Ashlin Dolan is a feminist video instillation artist and graphic designer who uses film, clothing, and commercial items to underscore tensions in consumer culture, class, desire, the female body, and societal expectations. By altering everyday consumer items to reveal a greater truth about their meaning and purpose, she presents these objects as weapons in the war on women. Dolan lives and works in San Francisco and earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
